CONFERENCES

A meeting of two or more persons for discussing matters of common concern. (Ex: The President is in conference with his advisers.)

A corporate social gathering (Ex: Office/Division Holiday Event)

MEETINGS

An assembly of people, especially the members of a society or committee, for discussion or entertainment. (Ex: The club's monthly meeting will be held next Monday evening).

A work retreat is a company outing that brings coworkers together in a unique way. A work retreat usually does not focus on work itself but, rather, it focuses on creating a culture where better work will be done.

Summit/expo

A summit is a conference or meeting between heads of government.

Expos are global events dedicated to finding solutions to fundamental challenges facing humanity by offering a journey inside a chosen theme through engaging and immersive activities.

Symposium

A social gathering at which there is free interchange of ideas.

A formal meeting at which several specialists deliver short addresses on a topic or on related topics
